Faithful Truth part 2 (read part one here)

by Celect & Cowboy   age  14

No, No, NO! I leapt to my feet, and turned to face the ugly humans. They snickred, and pulled on their ropes. I wasn't letting them win this. Not today, not any day. I wheeled around and bolted. Instantly, I felt the rope around my next tighten, squezing my air tunnel. I coulsn't stop, though. And I didn't. I closed my eyes, still running, pulling the two-leg's slow horses along. I started to feel lightheaded, and dizzy. Just as I felt I could stand no more, the rope slackned. Still on my neck, but hanging loosley.

I was overjoyed! I had outrun the mongrels! I slowed to a canter. I couldn't stop fully untill I saw the end of the rope, where the humans would havve held it. "Why is it still not in my sights?" I wondered. Maybe it was just laying across my back. It had to be. I slowed to a nice, even lope. Life was so good being free. My happy, drowsy state stopped abrutly when I felt a sharp pull on my neck, flipped over backwards, and blacked out.
